Founded in 2009 off the coast of Spain, with a vision to stop using natural resources in a careless way. And a mission to create the first generation of recycled products with the same quality and design as the best non-recycled.
Becoming synonymous with its claim "BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLANET B", over the past 10+ years the company has developed over 500 recycled fabrics recycling over 250 million plastic bottles, 80 tonnes of discarded fishing nets, used tires, and thousands of tonnes of post-industrial cotton and wool.
If thats not enough, in 2015, through the Ecoalf Foundation, the company started upcycling the oceans. This is a worldwide adventure that is helping remove marine debris from the bottom of the oceans. A true revolutionary project that is converting ocean waste into quality garments. With the collective effort of more than 3500 fishermen they have recovered over 1000 tonnes of marine waste. WOW!!
In keeping with the goal of limiting the consumption of natural resources, Ecoalf has made a commitment to only use materials such as recycled polyester, recycled nylon, recycled wool and recycled cotton for the production of their garments. Thus reducing the amount of CO2 emissions generated and the amount of water used. And better yet, all these materials are now made from recycled ocean waste.
They are a certified Global Recycling Standard brand - a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. This standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles , social requirements, chemical content, and labelling. Ensuring consumers are fully educated about their products and can make informed choices.
